Alex Brinkmeier

Alex Brinkmeier identifies as being a skilled family law attorney dedicated to helping walk her clients through many of the complex family law issues that can arise in many cases. Ms. Brinkmeier earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois.

She then attended the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Chicago-Kent College of Law and earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2016. During law school, Ms. Brinkmeier was president of the Kent Justice Foundation, the student organization dedicated to nonprofit legal work.

Ms. Brinkmeier also served on the board of the Child & Family Law Society and the Student Bar Association. She went on to become a certified Mediator, participating in an extensive training program through Chicago’s Center for Conflict Resolution.

Ms. Brinkmeier was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November 2016 and has focused mainly on the practice of family law. She has had the honor of being named a SuperLawyer Rising Star from 2019 through the present and is currently a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Ms. Brinkmeier handles a wide variety of Illinois family law cases, including those involving child custody and visitation, child support, post-decree modifications, relocation or removal of a child, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She also handles divorce issues such as property division, maintenance and alimony, mediation, orders of protection, and collaborative law.
